The 370-acre ranchwas purchased by Bob \u0026amp; Mary Miner in 1989 and was the same year the Miner’s harvested and produced their first wine from the property. In 2020 Oakville Ranch purchased the neighboring Saunder’s Vineyard and its approximately 10 acres of vines.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe name Oakville Ranch predates the Miner family ownership, with the earliest reference to the name Oakville Ranch in the early 1980’s. The ranch was purchased in 1980 by five different ownership parties including John Scully and Don Kelleher (the owner of Kelleher Family Vineyard and whose family owns Brix Restaurant just north of Yountville).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \n\n\u003cp\u003eWINEMAKER’S RECORD:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eFull-bodied, tannic, with balanced concentration and an exceptionally long finish, this is a Cabernet collector’s dream. Opening with concentrated purple hues and black, brambly fruit aromatics the senses fire up with indications of top-level quality. Wow! Opening up with background notes of French Oak vanillin, fresh earth, mushrooms and underwood complexities, this has pure, mountain Cabernet expression. Full-bodied and expansive tannin structure leads into full-length impact upon the palate.  Charred bitter fruits interlaced with cranberry, black currant, and mottled blackberries are all intertwined.
