Product Notes Santiago Ruiz O Rosal Rías Baixas is a white wine from the region of Rías Baixas in northwest Spain. It is made from a blend of five grape varieties including Albariño, Loureiro, Treixadura, Godello and Caíño Blanco. This wine is light, refreshing and complex with aromas of tropical fruit, citrus, and flowers. Its high acidity and minerality make it a perfect pairing with seafood, particularly shellfish, as well as spicy dishes and creamy cheeses. Santiago Ruiz O Rosal Rías Baixas is a well-balanced and elegant wine that demonstrates the quality and diversity of the Rías Baixas region. Tasting Notes Bright yellow in colour. On the nose, intense aromas of crisp apple, pear, lime blossom and lemon verbena are married with subtle herbal notes. On the palate, the precise and concentrated flavours are complemented by a stony minerality and balanced by a vibrant acidity, resulting in a crisp and clean finish. About the Winery The history and story of Santiago Ruiz begins with the founder of the same name. Santiago belonged to a family of winemakers known for producing drinks since the late 19th century. It marked his venture into the winemaking industry when he continued his family’s traditions and practices and established his distinct winery in San Miguel de Tabagón. Santiago Ruiz gets revered as the “Father of Albariño” and not without reason. The winemaker has excellent and mesmerising skills and immense knowledge when it comes to the craft of developing and producing world-class wines. Nevertheless, Santiago’s chase after his dreams and aspirations had not begun until he was in his 70s. With retirement from his job as a naval insurance and machinery salesman, the winemaker could finally dedicate himself to his vocation and pursue his goals. Santiago’s passion for winemaking and his innate curiosity for the craft allowed him to make continuous and favourable improvements in the wine production processes. He incorporated several new and beneficial innovations, like stainless steel and cooling tanks. In addition, his hard work and efforts played a significant role in the foundation and establishment of Santiago Ruiz in 1984 and its uphill rise to fame. The establishment and setup of Santiago Ruiz ushered the name and reputation of the Rias Baixas DO across the entire globe. The winery served as the region’s first ambassador and regenerated the Galician vineyards. Today, Santiago Ruiz makes high-quality wines through careful winemaking techniques and practices. The excellence gets represented in the attributes and characteristics of the wine estate’s products that have become famous among numerous people globally. In addition, the wines’ standards can get attributed and linked to the superior terroirs and vineyards owned by the winery. They allow the produced drinks to hold significant elegance and a perfect acidity balance. |

Some items are removed from original packaging, and placed in protective shipping containers to ensure safe delivery.
While most orders are shipped the day they are placed. The demand for limited supplies will occasionally deplete our stock of a paticular product, in this case it will generally take an additional 1 - 2 business days to receive the product and fufill the order.

Occasionally a chosen vintage of a wine may sell out or be replaced by a new release after your order is placed. Bottles of wine that are under $20, will not hold up an order and we will simply automatically substitute the wine with the comparable vintage. Please be assured that we will only substitute with a vintage for the same wine. Wine that is valued more than $20 per bottle, we will attempt to contact the customer. After two attempts, the available vintage will be automatically shipped out. (The return policy of $15 return shipping costs, and 15% restocking fee will be enforced.)
Yiannis Wine will not be held liable for damages to orders due to weather conditions during shipping. Potential exposure to extreme heat or cold may damage items during shipping. As we can not be held responsible for products damaged due to weather, we suggest you choose FedEx Express to ship your items and/or add ice packs to your order (during extreme heat) to help prevent damages. We can also place your orders on weather hold until weather conditions improve. Wine is usually fine if it is exposed to some heat (as that is the way wine is made.....Heated so the yeast is activated). If your wine is warm, please place them in a cool, dark room so the wine can "settle."
Most returns will be accepted, but ALL bottles must be returned to get credit. A half bottle or empty bottle of something that did not taste GOOD is fine to return, but the customer will not receive full credit if the bottle is not included.
Sometimes an order is returned to our warehouse after several delivery attempts at the address provided by the customer. We are happy to reship the order however, reshipment fees will apply. Please contact us and we will assist you with the reshipment arrangements.
We are happy to assist with any returns for items purchased that you no longer want or need. Please let us know and we will arrange for the return and issue a credit or refund for your returned items, less the return shipping and handling charges.
